The first batch of sample vehicles for Qingling's Nigeria KD project was delivered in Chongqing on August 21st. This project marks the first commercial vehicle cooperation project between a municipal state-owned enterprise and foreign partners in West Africa. The delivery of the sample vehicles signifies a substantial step forward in Qingling Group's localization strategy in West Africa, and also indicates that the cooperation between Chongqing and Nigeria in the automotive industry has entered a new stage of implementation and operation. According to the plan, by early next year, Qingling Group will establish a complete business chain from KD parts export to local assembly in Nigeria and final delivery; in the future, it will gradually expand across West Africa, striving to achieve a cumulative production and sales target of over 10,000 units, and turn this project into a benchmark for China-West Africa automotive industry cooperation.

Khalil Suleiman Halilu, Executive Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure of Nigeria, said, "We look forward to promoting the development of Nigeria's local automotive industry, creating jobs, and achieving mutual benefit and win-win results between China and Nigeria through cooperation between the two sides.".
